Dear spacefaring fellows and fellinas! During the last few weeks, nearly all missing lyrics have been finished, and the existing ones have received their final polishing treatment. We’ve already started recording guide vox, and I’m positive that we will finish the first real vocals sometime during the next 6-8 weeks! The first ones to record will be those of the antagonist character, “Cho t’Nnt”, croaked by yours truly, or in other words, humble me Beyond that, we’ll have to see.

We’ve not come to a grinding halt here. We’re just doing it slomo…

We are keeping it real

Dear Audiophilonauts,

not only are we about to get real with the album, we’re also getting real with the guitars now — maybe even exactly now, this very moment!

So, allow me to introduce you to our newest crew-member, a Jet City PicoValve. Yeah, I know, it reads ‘pico’, but it doesn’t sound pico at all! This little box indeed makes a helluva noise, ask my neighbors!

The sound from the left Celestion speaker will be miked and put straight into our DAW. We’ll also record a clean track, so re-amping will always be possible at a later point in time. In fact, we’re running that clean track through a virtual amp anyway. Mixing both to taste will give us a fat (as in phat) guitar sound.

First results will be on display here shortly!

Woe to you, oh Earth and Sea, for the pre-production of the Album has sucessfully finished!

We have 18 Songs (not counting possible bonus tracks). All keys, drums and bass tracks have been recorded in their final version. Next up: Guitars, solo instrumentalists, and, of course, vocalists. Aliens of the universe, we’re about to get real! Applaud us long and hard

13 is not your lucky number?

Don’t worry, while Helge is constantly remixing all tracks from scratch (which means: applying all that we have learned during our long (hey, spacetravels take their time) journey and futhermore recording the final synthesizer sounds) some guy who is writing this here right now, has put some energy in #14.

Yes #14, that’s not #13 for sure. So don’t panic!

But he is not doing this alone, why should he? This song becomes one of the really rare ones that Helge and he composed together. Most of the other songs were composed by either him or him and were nevertheless voxarized afterwards. So be prepared for a small glimpse beeing dropped here I.Y.N.F. (in your near future).

Many songs were having their final guitars recorded during the last days; there is progress, boys, girls, dogs, cats & maybe robots!

Clap your hands and please welcome a new member in the voXager universe. Created by Dave Smith, travelled through time and space it finally arrived in one of our headquarters. It’s name is Prophet 08, it’s mission is making some hell of a fine analogue sound. And that it shall do in our and of course your near future.

Moonship Going Down

A while ago I noticed that, storywise, there’s a gap between Song 9 and Song 10; the story failed to explain why Elena Kho suddenly appears on Argon Prime. This is a pretty crucial thing in the story, because it’s here where she meets Kyle Brennan again. So I decided to compose another song to tell the tale. And this is it, Song 9b, Getsufune Down:

The title might change, though; I’m not happy with the ring of it. Moonship Going Down is a hot candidate.

And while we’re at it: The working title of the album is Beyond the Heliosheath. The problem with that is, I don’t even know how to pronounce “Heliosheath”. Nobody does, except perhaps astrophysicists. Also, it’s too complicated. So I’m looking for something nicer that has a similar meaning. Something in the vein of Beyond the Sun or Beyond the Ocean of Space. I’m not decided yet. Any suggestions?
