please welcome another crew member aboard the ship voXager: Lars, whose weapon is the six-string, 
and in this case, of the acoustic variety. He joined us on a distant celestial body called “Örs” or “Örth” or something, and we already recorded lots of stuff. But before we could do so, we had to fix the six-stringed weapon… as you can see on the picture to the right.
Anyway, here’s a little something for your aching heart… Lars is in it, and Cheryl, and Sebas, and Sven, and that guy who still refers to himself in the pluralis majestatis on occasion… (who could that be?)

Dear frostbitten space pandas and pandalettes,
This is just a short heads-up on our progress in doing stuff. And by stuff I mean…. recording. Vocals! Yay!
To the right, you see Laura not performing the role of “Elena Lindisfarne Kho” (but she eventually did  ), and below, my humble self, croaking your most beloved antagonist, “Cho t’Nnt”.

On the other side of the big pond, Cheryl started recording the vocals for our little lizard, Nopileos. I’ll post something here as soon as possible!

Dear vacuum-breathing creatures,
I’m happy to announce that the tracking of the final vocals will commence this weekend with Cho t’Nnt, the growly-screechy main character that is performed by me. During the weekend from november 24-25, another main character will be recorded, namely Elena Kho, performed by Laura ten Hoedt. Early on in December, most secondary characters vocals will be finished. I’m very excited; this is a huge step!
To make the best of the recording situation in the new voXager study — I’ll call it floor4 for the time being, because it’s on the 4th floor right in the center of Düsseldorf — I bought a way too expensive Clearsonic isolation booth. I’ll snap a few pictures as soon as somebody is in the booth.

Since distance in space in measured in lightyears, what exactly would be a milestone?
Nevertheless: all guitars have been recorded and are now being edited (cut noise, inserting fades, maybe add some delay) and then all our songs are forwarded to the vocal artists. In small steps forward we go, maybe milestone isn’t such a misplaced word after all

Dear spacefaring fellows and fellinas! During the last few weeks, nearly all missing lyrics have been finished, and the existing ones have received their final polishing treatment. We’ve already started recording guide vox, and I’m positive that we will finish the first real vocals sometime during the next 6-8 weeks! The first ones to record will be those of the antagonist character, “Cho t’Nnt”, croaked by yours truly, or in other words, humble me Beyond that, we’ll have to see.
We’ve not come to a grinding halt here. We’re just doing it slomo…

Dear Audiophilonauts,
not only are we about to get real with the album, we’re also getting real with the guitars now — maybe even exactly now, this very moment!
So, allow me to introduce you to our newest crew-member, a Jet City PicoValve. Yeah, I know, it reads ‘pico’, but it doesn’t sound pico at all! This little box indeed makes a helluva noise, ask my neighbors!
The sound from the left Celestion speaker will be miked and put straight into our DAW. We’ll also record a clean track, so re-amping will always be possible at a later point in time. In fact, we’re running that clean track through a virtual amp anyway. Mixing both to taste will give us a fat (as in phat) guitar sound.
First results will be on display here shortly!

Woe to you, oh Earth and Sea, for the pre-production of the Album has sucessfully finished!
We have 18 Songs (not counting possible bonus tracks). All keys, drums and bass tracks have been recorded in their final version. Next up: Guitars, solo instrumentalists, and, of course, vocalists. Aliens of the universe, we’re about to get real! Applaud us long and hard
